About Kickass Web Design
Kickass Web Design is a small boutique Web Design Service Provider located in Easton, Pennsylvania at the confluence of the Delaware and Lehigh Rivers, and owned by me, BJ Novack. Though I'm happy to serve the Delaware Valley, the Lehigh Valley, and Central NJ, my clientbase is far ranging and far from local, with some of my clients a half a world away.
Templating for dynamic programming is a specialty here, since the benefit to small businesses and non-profit organizations is so great. The sites I build allow the website owner to update his or her content without having to call on me, which makes for deeper and more content rich sharply focussed websites that search engine spiders will feast on. I've created Custom WordPress Themes, CubeCart Ecommerce Templates, ZenCart Ecommerce Templates, ModX CMS Templates, Drupal CMS Themes, Tolranet Directory Script Templates, Movable Type themes, and others. I have yet to meet a templating system that I can't figure out in short order.
I've been designing websites since the mid '90s, and got involved in tableless css design fairly early on. Through my work with RefreshDelVal, I've advocated for standards based design which will allow sites to be accessed by multiple devices and move into the future gracefully with no degradation when new browser versions are released.
Though Web Design is the focus, I've also learned quite a bit about SEO, and since my clients are mostly smaller businesses and non-profit organizations whose budgets can't yet stretch to accomodate a dedicated SEO contractor, I've learned to build Search Engine Friendly sites so that my clients will, if they update their sites regularly, see a steady increase in traffic and good indexing by Google and other Search Engines.
I regularly participant in industry newsgroups and forums, and keep my skills up to date.
When I'm not designing websites, I'm working with the GreenSpeak Meetup group, taking photographs, working in the garden, writing music with my friend Suze, or devouring trashy novels.
