Another new WordPress Theme
Yes, I am capable of ~slightly~ more conservative and less *in your face* design. This one is almost finished, I’m looking for just a bit more “window dressing”, maybe in the form of a jungly background, or something I can transparentize behind the posts, dunno. I managed, in this one, to make the image file paths in the css file work fine, unlike the original kickass theme (which you’ll see again as soon as I get a proper styleswitcher plugin installed) but paths to the header image from within header.php don’t seem to work unless they’re absolute. Where exactly is it calling that file from or pulling it through? Something is screwy and trying what’s in the codex did absolutely nothing.
I managed to put the leftcol into its own file for this one, and call it properly so it pulls that file into every page. I haven’t yet succeeded in moving the archive part of the linklist, though that’ll get done today.
I only downloaded WP a little over a week ago, so two custom themes in that time is a pretty fine accomplishment I think, especially since it’s in whatever spare time I have. I’m working on putting the Farm Study Center site up this week, it’ll be WP all the way. After that maybe I’ll feel up to tackling a ZenCart theme for my Vintage Clothing site. Someday . . .
