Kickass-Boxes in Rose WordPress Theme ready to download!
*** UPDATE!!! *** All Kickass Wordpress Themes are WP 2.1 Compatible! ***
Okay, okay, so I’ve been a downright workaholic . . . The Kickass-Boxes in Rose Theme for Wordpress is ready for download.
This is a two column 100% width theme sporting a full header and footer. The left navigation column is fixed width, while the right content column will adjust to accomodate screen size. It’s been tested in all the most commonly used browsers on Windows, Mac and even Linux. This layout seems to accomodate all but the most extreme font size adjustments without borking. It adjusts EVEN IN IE6 down to a width of 750 pixels comfortably and without breaking the layout, and I promise your blog won’t look like a postage stamp on large screens.
If you download this theme please read the readme.txt file before trying to customize this layout. It contains a few warnings about what not to do to the css under penalty of large headaches and a broken layout, and will save you a bunch of time if you choose to pay attention.
This theme is freely available for use under the Creative Commons License. All I require is that the comments section at the top of the style.css file remain intact and that you have a visible linkback to http://kickasswebdesign.com in the sidebar (already included in the layout.) Linking to my blog pages so people can download my themes is permitted, and in fact welcomed. Linking to my download file, or snagging it to include for download on your page is not permitted.
If you want something more personalized, I’d be happy to discuss creating a custom WordPress Theme for you. Use the link to tell me what you have in mind- two column? Three column? I’ll be happy to whip up something fabulous and unique for your exclusive use. The price is more reasonable than you think!

Hey all — was hoping that someone could clue me in on a total n00b CSS issue:
I’m trying to customize the Random Image Theme for Wordpress, and I’m running into a small — but *incredibly annoying* — problem.
I’m trying to make the background of the content area white. The background of navigation column that runs down the right side is not plain white (FFFFFF). Rather Photoshop’s color picker claims that it’s F9F9F9 — but this isn’t anywhere in the style.css file. There is a .alt that has a background set at F8F8F8, but when I change that to FFFFFF, it doesn’t help.
Where is that shading coming from?
many thanks…

Um, dj? I state clearly in my downloads that I don’t support my own free themes and you want me to support someone else’s? I suggest you ask the person who designed the theme you’re using.
