Is ScriptLance engaging in Questionable Practices?
A friend tried to withdraw money today from his ScriptLance account, money he had earned and that was paid him by the contractor. Before the withdrawal was completed his account was shut down, with no explanation given.
It wasn’t until almost 24 hours later that he got a response from them, and then it was them asking him questions that had nothing to do with him, his account or his money. My friend is a legitimate businessperson and a quality php freelancer who has been freelancing writing php code for a long time and has exemplary feedbacks from his past clients on more than one freelancer site.
I find this amazing from a site that has more scam HYIP freelancer listings than any other freelancer site.
If you don’t know what an HYIP is, just ask the Federal Trade commission, the SEC, and the US Treasury Department what they think of HYIPs.
I don’t have any answers, but I have MANY questions. And my freelance web design ScriptLance account is shut down at my request as of today.

Scriptlance have always been like that. The admins are extremely rude and not very helpful in cases of dispute. I have had a programmer AND a webmaster account shut down. All mails and requests for reasons were ignored. Looks like htey are making enough money to not care about their customers. I wish my business was at that stage.

Do you? I don’t wish that I was ever at the point where common decency was buried under the “money tree” mentality….
I’m sure you don’t really mean it the way it came across. We’d all like to have enough cash flow that we didn’t have to worry about how to pay the propane bill.
But I for one would not EVER engage in practices such as it seems scriptlance is indulging in….
