A CSS Friendly Directory Script?
Though I’m still slogging through building the first xhtml/css/smarty template for this one, and have yet to really give the script a good test drive I’m encouraged by what I’ve seen so far. The ESyndiCat Links Exchange Solution, a link directory script, already seems to be very css friendly, though most of the templates depend more than I’d like on tabling for the layouts. However, it also looks like I might be able to whip this one into shape with a lot more ease than I dealt with that other directory script with which I have had such a love/hate relationship. I WILL banish those tables, at least from the front end.
Just a couple quick observations- ESyndiCat’s developers are active on the forum and very willing to answer questions, help with problems, and sometimes even offer mods to make their script fit a particular situation. This is NOT open source, but they do offer a “free” link supported version, and a reasonably priced “Pro” version. The attitude on the ESyndiCat forum is friendly, helpful, and open, a big difference from the other script, where questions were usually answered with strong-armed suggestions of donations before real and helpful answers would be forthcoming. I will caution you, however- ESyndiCat is VERY new. Whether it’s ready for a production environment remains to be seen, and I will be filling you in as I test drive it and give you the real skinny on how it works.
I am hopeful about this one. But then, I’ve been hopeful before . . . I’ll keep you posted.

hi
Well, I think it is a quite positive review of our script. We will do our best to make it #1 among link exchange scripts.
