Refresh Delaware Valley now Launched!
Though it’s just barebones at the moment, and I’ve still got a bunch of work to do customizing the template and getting everything set up, the Refresh Delaware Valley site is now up and running. And in my usual bulldozer way, I got Vicki (aka vkaryl) to start up Refresh St. George and Refresh Southern Utah with Shawn the Automapit Spiderman following on our heels with Refresh Chicago.
To Refresh your memories (pun intended) the refresh initiative is a loosely organized grassroots movement toward W3 standards and WAI standards implementation in web design. And since we’re all geeky types we’ll be adding in a lot of talk about any new “toys” in the industry, such as Ajax, Ruby on Rails, etc. It’s all about building attractive, usable websites using the standards and techniques that will futureproof the websites we’re building today, as well as making them accessible to the largest audience possible.
Other Cities have jumped on the bandwagon, so if you’re not in the DelVal, Chicago, or Southern Utah, you can find a group near you. Don’t see one for your city? Register the refreshyourcityname.org domain name and get one started!
