Launch of a Future Best-Selling Author
Kickass has just launched the new Robin Brande website on a new Custom Kickass WordPress Theme. Robin just landed a two book deal with Knopf, so probably before the end of the year you’ll be seeing her book, The Theory of Evolution, in your favorite bookstore. The launch should be making quite a stir in the news, especially among the Religious Right and Fundamentalist Crowd, since the book is pretty controversial.
Robin is a writing maniac, so despite the fact that it’s only been up and working for a short time, she’s already got the site full of good information for writers and people who want to learn to write. She wanted her author site in shades of blue, and wanted her muse, Bear, to be featured somehow on the page. That’s him, peeking over the edge of the content area. The site will be used as an announcement center for all things pertaining to Robin and her writing– you might want to subscribe to her feed so you’ll know when her book launches. You’ll also notice a contest entry form. I integrated a separate form processor script that allows for more fields than the normal WP Contact Form Plugins do, and can be used to run more than one form with different fields in each one. This one is being utilized by both the contest sign up form and the contact form presently. You’ll also see a Newsletter signup that uses PHPList, which has also been integrated quite nicely.
