Bugnbelle.com Cubecart/WordPress Custom Templated Site launched!
Today marks the launch of the newly designed Bug ‘n Belle Custom Kid’s Clothing and Baby Gift Ecommerce Website on its newly designed Custom CubeCart Template and WordPress Theme.
Tanya, the owner of Bug ‘n Belle, had a good start in the design of her homepage but didn’t know how to transfer her adorable ideas into dynamic programming. I took her basic color scheme and graphics and revamped them into a layout that would work for both her shopping cart and her blog, and organized the dynamically generated parts so that they’d complement the original concept. I left her homepage pretty much as is, with just a couple additions, since it makes a great entry into both “sides” of the site and feels familiar to those who are already Bug ‘n Belle fans.
Tanya’s biggest concern with her site was not only that the cart be usable and attractive but also that her job promoting the site would be made easier by making the site as Search Engine friendly as possible. Adding a WordPress blog with a matching custom Word Press Theme helps her achieve that, since the blog is set up to ping/notify the update services every time she posts, creating new backlinks and stressing her keyphrases in text links to the products in her CubeCart shopping cart. Both the Cart and the Blog are RSS enabled, which allows for RSS subscriptions, and CubeCart offers a Newsletter sign up, all things that help make the site sticky. Tanya plans to use the blog as a way not only to promote her products, but also to interact with other parents and swap playtime games, vacation ideas, parenting tips, and kid friendly activities. When she does get that dialog going, I’m sure her traffic will soar.
