Vista KnowledgeBase Launches on a Custom WordPress Design
The Vista Knowledge Base, Tips, Tricks & Tutorials for Windows Vista launched yesterday on a Custom WordPress Web Design from Kickass. Dave wanted something sleek, shiny and techie to match the whole Vista look. The header image is actually a macro of a SATA cable taken with a blue filter, and then a sunrise shot at low opacity superimposed over it to represent a “vista”. I kept the rest of it pretty simple, using gradients to achieve the luminance and shiny feeling.
Those of you upgrading to Vista will want to subscribe, since Dave’s already become a user and has pretty intense tech knowledge. If you have questions I’m sure he’s the guy to answer them.
Dave had one other concern in the design of his blogskin. He’s pretty up on the whole Search Engine Optimization field and wanted a layout that would give him the most google juice. The layout used is source ordered, with the Title, Description and Content first in source, and the title and description of the site are text based and semantically marked up, to give Dave the best shot at getting good returns in the SERPs for all things Vista. He’s since loaded up the Wordpress installation with all sorts of SEO gadgets, social bookmark stuff and other SE sticky stuff, so his site will soar. I’m sure he’ll do well with this.
Do you have an idea for a site that you just can’t quite put together by yourself? Need help to get a great idea on the screen? Let’s talk.
