So this week in the DelVal we’ve had some pretty intense and destructive weather. Trees down. Power out. Phone lines down. And I depend on dsl for work.
Speculation is that they were mini twisters, since there was a definite path of destruction that crossed the tops of three hills and left the valleys in between totally alone. And here I was happy during the flooding that I was on the top of the dang hill.
So one day over the weekend I was camped in a friend’s house with the laptop, which I hate working on, but at least it’s POSSIBLE. Another day saw me at Panera, one of the few times you’ll ever see me at a franchise/chain restaurant since I’d much rather patronize LOCAL businesses instead of the McAnythings McAnywheres (but locals who are wired are often closed on Sundays. Ack.)
Out of the last seven days my phone was down for three (total, not fractions of.) My electric was down for close to two. And I’m busier than I’ve been in a long time ( I’m always busy. It’s truly nuts right now.)
And the Republicans want us to think Global Warming is a figment of our imagination.
I think it’s time to sacrifice another weatherman to appease the Gods . . .
