I’ve gone through 3 fricken HP printers. Some all-in-one and some not.

We switched to Canon this year and so far no problems.

Fingers crossed.

Well, I probably wouldn’t have even considered the all in one if I hadn’t had both printer and scanner that needed to be replaced at once, and I did have a tighter budget back then.

I’ll check out the Benq. I’m pretty much decided on a separate scanner. In fact I might go for one that handles transparencies as well as print media to save me a drive when I get one of those scan jobs to do. Those don’t happen often, but they do happen.

Ah.. sorry to hear about this, but I also don’t recommend all in one stuff anymore though the visual smartness and compactness attracts a lot. Managing separate stuff ofcourse sometimes difficult task but when your ink dries.. your scanner does not stop working … lol.

I don’t know if “Benq” scanners are available in US, but I used them locally and they work ok, and not expensive.
